Artisanal Cheese Board (Daily Selection). Delicious assortment of cheeses! Highly recommend it!19 Feb, 2015This place is awesome!. Being a tourist, I’m a little wary of where to make plans for Saturday night. I don’t want to waste an evening on an average place. After trying out every restaurant on East 4th Street, Downtown, my partner and I decided to heed the advice of the locals and made it down to Ohio City’s The Flying Fig! Happy to report that we loved it! The service was great and the food was SO delicious. If you’re the type who likes to start the evening with wine and nibbles, then order the artisanal cheese platter! My grilled hanger steak was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to go back!
The Flying Fig. Two of us ordered the chicken dinner. The breaded cutlets arrived looking a little burnt around the edges. They tasted very dry. When we mentioned this to the waiter he shrugged our complaint off as if he didn’t care. We will not return.
Not worth the money. I had brunch here and was a bit disappointed. The food was all tasty but servings were SO SMALL and soo expensive! I get that most places serve you too much food so I’m fine with smaller portions but I wasn’t even full at the end of my meal. It was a bummer. Like I said, the food is good but just doesn’t seem worth it.
Awful, over priced, and SLOW. We had the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant in Ohio City at Flying Fig and will never return! $9.00 for the crappy salad and $20.00 for a basic burger! RIP OFF!
Decent but . . .. While I liked my meal well enough here, it’s not a rave. I have to say for the price, what I would consider really fine dining, it is too much of a raucous bar atmosphere. I’m sure I must be in the minority, because the place was packed. Granted, my friend and I stumbled in one night without reservations and they accommodated us by seating us in a booth upfront by the bar, still it seemed like there wasn’t much separation from the bar and all the other tables, so I don’t know that it would make much of a difference.
Way over price specialty drink with no alcohol, high priced snobbish service on a group of 5 no need to add tip, it was added to the check. Service and food terrible, Would not recommend nor return
Delicious Gourmet at a Reasonable Price. The food here is amazing. There is no way, outside of Cleveland, you could purchase such delicious cuisine at such a reasonable price. It is local, fresh and delicious. It is a lovely little restaurant. Totally worth the visit, or two!
