I went to lunch with my friends yesterday. The lunch menu was mainly sandwiches with a few entrees. I ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly. Others had the pasta special and Mac n cheese with beef both entrees were generous portions but they wished their food was hotter. Overall good experience and I would ret.
Very very good. From Pittsburgh and we wish we had a place like this. Don’t get me wrong, we have great places to eat but you have to go into the city. Had scotch eggs, SoCal Fries, pierogies, sliders. All fantastic. Great beer selection.
Absolutely amazing! Great food, service and very unique atmosphere.
Becoming a Go-To Spot. I’ve been here a half dozen times in the last year. The beer is great. Their Brewmaster is very skilled and there are usually are some good standards and usually a couple interesting seasonal choices.I almost always eat at the bar and service has never been an issue. Heck, it’s never been an issue at tables either. The food is good bar food, you don’t come here for gourmet. If you want that go across the street to Crop Bistro. But if you do want a good sandwich, burger or salad and a great beer, this is your place.
Can’t speak to the food but loved the beer! the festivus was tasty for Christmas season. we had good service also but sat at the bar
Yikes! Great beer HORRIBLE SERVICE. 1. Group of 20+ previously reserved space for brunch2. Had drink order taken and food order taken. Never saw the server again.3. In 1.5 hours nobody asked if we wanted another drink4. Food came out piecemeal and auctioned off by yelling down the table who had what.5. Two people never go their food but because the server completely disappeared (turned out here was the bartender and busy and since he know the 20% gratuity was already on the party it was his last priority) we had to go and find someone who couldn’t help either. If ANYONE would have stopped by to ask how everything was or if they could have gotten us anything, they would have known that while most people were done eating two brunches weren’t out yet and it turns out weren’t even put into the kitchen. 6. No salt/pepper on any of the tables for the group. Asked hostess as we had no server and nobody was checking on our table. She said she wasn’t a server and couldn’t help to ask the server. I told her we had no server coming to our table. I then asked another server. Finally we had someone come over with ONE PEPPER SHAKER AND WERE TOLD ALL OF THE SALT SHAKERS WERE BEING USED> I YELLED TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE IN OUR PARTY ASKING IF ANYONE WANTED TO USE THE ONE PEPPER SHAKER AS THERE WERE NO SALTS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME. As we finished eating a server brought over one set of salt and pepper but at that point was obviously not needed.7. There was no bussing of any kind. See the pics….empty plates, glasses, etc.. NO BUSSERS< NO SERVERS< NO HELP AND NO MANAGER (or we were told by the hostess, the same one who couldn't help us find salt and pepper shakers or to get more drinks or to find our server)8. Nobody asked if anyone wanted coffee or anything else. 9. Guess what though…..magically the bartender DID appear to give us the bill with the automatic $48 large party gratuity….FOR DOING NOTHING. How is that for reinforcement of poor (an understatement) service.10. Oh, and this prearranged brunch was the final part of a 50th wedding anniversary for my parents and it was very sad that it ended on such a sour note. It was meant to be a casual brunch after a weekend of more upscale events. Instead it turned out to be a disaster and we actually paid 48.00 to sit through this experience.
