The food was great, but the service was very, very slow. Definitely plan for more than an hour if you're going for lunch during the week....…

Absolute garbage service. Bottom line. Waitress finally came over after we were seated 15-20 minutes already, never introduced herself, never brought waters, was already apologizing to neighboring tables for other mishaps. Food was mediocre, we never got the fruit with our breakfast. Bloody mary bar was half picked over with more empty bowls of ingredients than not. One shaker we were given had a used napkin shoved in the top of it from the last person who used it. Obviously it hadn’t been washed. Disgusting. Manager was a loser too. Despise these trendy, pretentious places that can’t train their employees correctly.
Great brunch spot. Usually don’t need reservations. Friendly, helpful staff. I know they closed for renovations last year, wish it would open back up!
Love hate relationship. Love, love the grilled cheese & pomegranate martinis. Hate the service….always slow and not attentive. Most times the staff seems too buzzed or high to wait on their guests
Still the most clueless hostess in the city, but food is pretty good
Had a great dinner here last night. It was very early as we were going to a show after, so the atmosphere and service might be different once it’s crowded, but we didn’t have a single complaint. We liked the quirky decor–wood panelling, books, pillows and chandeliers–like you’re in the library of of a grand old oceanliner. Our server, Emma, was very friendly, knowledgable and actually excited about the food. Granted, we were the only people in the place (at5:30) so service might not be so timely and attentive when it gets crowded. I had the delerium mussels, a huge portion of moist, plump mussels in wine sauce topped with Belgian fries. OMG, I’m swooning just thinking about how good this was (and how many calories it must have had!). I was so full I could barely eat any of my entree which was almost as good (despite not being topped by Belgian fries!). It was the special of the night–risotto with shrimp and spring vegetables. Fresh, complex and perfectly cooked. The desert, flourless chocolate cake, was nicely presented but just ok in flavor. My husband also loved his warm mushroom salad with creamy mild goat cheese, and the lamb ravioli with a rich gravy and sauted spinach (just a touch salty for me). I wished we could have stayed longer to see how the vibe changed as the place started to fill up. We will definitely go back!!
Worthy of a Return Visit. I visited Touch Supper Club this past weekend for dinner. I was really pleased with the food and service. They had a great selection of beers, wines, etc. My friend and I both greatly enjoyed our meals and appetizers and the portions were much larger than I expected, and were more than I/we could eat. There was such a variety of items on the menu that I wanted to try that I am looking forward to returning.
Taco Thursday. We went in for tacos last night, and they were exceptional! Don’t compare them to your traditional Mexican fare, but these high-end inventive tacos were geat. One for $3 or two for $5- a greal deal! The good news? Their new food truck is a taco truck.
