O’ Charley’s is the typical American Food restaurant, lost at sea. I know O’Charley’s is usually packed with people eating here on any given day. You know how I know? Because I’m usually one of them when my wife and I are back in town.Sure, their menu is big, colorful and well put together, but when it comes down to it, they’re just another American Fare chain that relies too heavily on their deep fryer in the back and a typical Midwesterner’s preference to bland food. Looking for adventerous food? Keep on driving buddy.Typically, I get a burger or sandwich and the others I go with get fish and chips or a salad. I try to stay away from deep fried foods because they consistently give me indigestion. But I couldn’t tell the difference between this place and an Applebees if you blindfolded me.The appetizers are something I’m not usually familiar with, because it seems as if we get the same potatoe-chip-nacho-thing everytime we’re there. If this deep fried ball of potato shaving isn’t consumed in the first 3 minutes after landing on your table, the nacho cheese and fries congeal and turn to cold mush. This is no fault of O’Charley’s, they can’t help if you’ve ordered it.So please, if you must find a place to serve a variety of palets, I’d suggest looking elsewhere down Lex-Springmill.Edit: To Nicole Arthur, you have 1 review on your profile and you obviously work here or are in a management position. You should continue to review more restaurants so it’s not so obvious you’re a shill for the restaurant.
