Lived in the area a long time & heard this place was really good but had never been. Now I have & must say I don’t get it. Nothing compels me to go back.

One of the Best in the Area. I have eaten at Papa’s Gondola several times over the past ten+ years, and most recently visited last week. The food took approximately 20 minutes to get to our table, and that is about the norm. I have no problem waiting a little extra time for good food. Prior to the our food arriving, the waitress brought us fresh baked bread – no preservatives – and advised us that if we take it home, it will stay good in the fridge for a few days – nice touch. So our food arrives, and the cheese pizza is OUTSTANDING. One of the best I’ve ever had. The sauce and crust are made fresh daily – yes, daily. I personally do not know of any other place in the area that makes sauce and dough from scratch daily. The cheese is also of a high quality and is shredded fresh from the block. I can not speak of other toppings as I am just a cheese pizza guy. The pizza also heats up better than any other I have ever tasted. The Lasagna is very good, and is a ridiculous portion. If you are not a big eater, this could feed two – the price? $7.50. The salad bar is very small, but of very high quality. It’s obvious that much care is taken with the salad bar. People rave about the homemade croutons. Our waitress was fantastic by the way (read a review by someone else stating that their waitress was bad). The restaurant is open Tues. – Sat., 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 or 9:00 (can’t remember for certain). The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday. I believe they also close for a week in the summer, and at Christmas. Another reviewer made it sound like they just randomly close whenever they feel like it – that is not the case. If you get there after 5:00 p.m. you may have to wait for a few minutes as this is a very popular restaurant, and with good reason. Most of the clientele have been eating at Papa’s, every week, for many years… in my experience, there is a very good reason for this. Made from scratch, delicious, affordable food. I HIGHLY recommended it.

Best Italian in area!! First time there our waiter sung a Italian song table side!! What an experience. Great food and large servings. Have been back often.

Inconveniences and below average pizza, I am sad.. There are many things to like about Papa’s Gondola. But I wouldn’t know because everytime I’ve been back home and finally convinced family to go there, they’ve been closed! I’m talking weekends, friday nights, etc. It’s super annoying. Finally, my wife’s mother ordered two pizzas and some breadsticks from here and I dug in at the last family get together we had. In short, the pizzas were uninspiring. The supreme pizza actually lacked a standard ingredient found on almost every supreme pizza known to man: green peppers. Why? The crusts were ordinary, thick and chewy. The sauce was unoriginal and bland. The cheese and toppings were present, but seemed like they are low quality and purchased by the restaurant based on the fact it’s cheap to do so. There wasn’t a single redeeming quality about the food thus far.Pound for pound, I find that Warrior Pizza is the best in town for the time being.

Best lasagna I’ve ever had!!! Priced @ 7.50, portion was at least 2 servings. Small restaurant, obviously a local favorite family place, simple menu, homemade good itialian food. Cant wait to share with kids. Simply awesome experience, awesome company ( wife ).Quick friendly service. Will be back. If you enjoy good itialian food at a good price, treat yourself to Papas Gondola… you wont be disapointed.

Great food at low prices. Large portions too.

Great Food–No Credit Cards. If you want good, affordable homespun Italian, this is the place, but bring your cash. They don’t take credit or debit cards and honestly that’s been an inconvenience that prevents us from visiting more frequently.
