Really expensive in my opinion. The meats contained msg which was a bummer. Got some teriyaki jerky mild turkey sticks 9yr old cheddar. The cheddar was good jerky needed more flavor and could have been dried more. I was afraid for a minute that it was raw. Turkey stick reminded me of a gas station meat stick. Interesting place nice tourist stop with all the neat signs. Cheese was good but expensive.
This cheese-o-rama used to be owned by a cranky old guy. His bizzare behavior walked a fine line between being oddly unique and downright rude. But his illness over a year ago meant that his absolutely wonderful son and daughter-in-law came stepped in to keep the family business going. As a consequence of this changing of the guard, they have TOTALLY taken this novelty cheese shop into a cutting edge specialty store with hundreds of unique cheeses, wine, high end products, a dedicated pastry chef and local culinary finds. If you haven’t been here in a while, you will be pleasantly surprised. As a local, I know that this is a gem!
A real tourist trap! Don’t even bother stoping at this place. Dreary, dingy interrior- from the linchmeat in the deli, to the celephane wrapped cheeses chunks. They claim they make all the cheese on site, but after a quick look around, you wonder where??? After visiting this place, i realize there are plenty of better gimmicky cheese spots off the beaten path- mars cheese castle in Wisconsin, Fair Oaks Dairy in Indiana, Heiney’s Cheese Barn in Ohio. They all pride themselves on displaying their cheese making facilities to their customers. Cheesehaven is a crap grocery, kinda creepy, needs a good cleaning.
