This place is just beautiful. The wait staff is great. Tried the lobster bisque. It was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Superb. Enjoyed the prime rib and my date had the baked Brie’. Food was excellent. Staff accommodating. Peggy, the owner, has done a great job at managing to blend sophisticated fare with elegant to comfortable ambiance. Price was reasonable, considering the quality.
Beautiful. The property looks very beautiful. The food was very good almost amazing, just took forever to make it to our table. I would recommend going early because if you don’t then you will have to wait for hours. We made it in right before it got packed thank goodness. Service is super slow and not up to the same standards as what the place looks it should be. Also very much pricy. This place is a once a year shooter for me just to see the property.
As a seasoned traveler, this stop was excellent. Great atmosphere, and I could not ask the chef to prepare all of my food any better that what was perfect. For instance I would consider this one of my last, death row meals. Sorry for the dauntingness, but you get my point.
Ya know? I like this place! Been here twice now. Had the Margherita pizza both times I liked it so much. A bit on the salty side, but flavor is good. Tonight was Sauvignon Blanc and Red Zin. Both excellent. Try it! The location is nice and the setting comfortable. Also, outdoor dining available in warmer weather. Enjoy!
We called a week earlier and were told there were no reservations, which was fine except for the fact that when we showed up we were told there was a four and a half Hour wait yet when we waited at the bar there were 3 tables with no one sitting at them for over an hour. When we spoke to the manager she was extremely rude and told us she had pages those people for over an hour. Apparently they don’t take reservations but they will page people for hours. So my suggestion if you plan in going to this poorly run establishment is to go a few hours early put your name in and leave because they will page you until you decide to show back up.
Impressed!. Our group was really impressed with our meals at Mon Ami – they really have kicked it up a notch since we last dined there. The servers were very quick on their feet and were able to adapt seamlessly to the fact that the number in our group was less than half of the original expectation – a big oops on our part. Lastly, the menu provided ample gluten-free choices: it is nice to see restaurants in a smaller area such as Port Clinton adapting to customer’s needs.
Horrible!!! Food was ok but service sucked. They charged me for someone else’s meal and still have not returned my money.. been over a month now. when we said something to the waitress she laughed and shrugged her shoulders and walked away. When I contacted the manager she was very rude and not nice about the situation.
