Awesome!. We ate at the Upper Deck of The Boardwalk, and it was spectacular! We ordered their famous lobster bisque in a bread bowl, blue cheese chips, and the bonita beach bread. The prices were pretty reasonable considering the amount and quality of the food we received. Service was great too! Will definitely return!!!!! 🙂
The Upper Deck. The Bonita Beach Bread is a really good appetizer. It is a flatbread with cheese, garlic butter, and a ton of shrimp and crab meat. The lobster bisque was the best that I’ve ever had. The walleye sandwich was great too.
We had lunch at the Upper Deck during the week so it was less crowded. My husband and I shared the walleye and perch platter. It was more than enough for us to share. I also recommend a bowl of the lobster bisque.
Great cocktails. We had a mojito and a blueberry breeze. The lobster bisque was delicious, but they charge for a bowl when it’s clearly a cup portion. Amazing huge chunks of lobster in it! Service was great. Would definately return.
Good fish. Great view of the harbor. And a great place if you have your dog with you.
We were looking for a good, on the water restaurant for ourselves us our kids. The broadway suited all of these very well. The beer selection was good but the mojito my wife ordered had fresh mint and agave, very nice. The highlight from the menu was the fried walleye sandwich, a must for Lake Erie. The kids liked the typical corn dog and fries, but they loved the plate being a frisbee that the could take with them. One call-out though, the lobster bisque has a lot of cheddar cheese flavor to it which gives it a taste very different from any other lobster bisque I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t order it but I you love extra sharp cheddar, go for it.
Bad Service. Bartenders and waitstaff are not so courteous or attentive. The problem is that the place is too popular. It’s crammed throughout most of the summer. The staff is either too busy, or they just plain don’t care because you are one customer out of a thousand that day. The food is not much to write home about. Their famed lobster bisque is mostly flour and as thick as glue. Their fish not often very fresh. I had a walleye in which they didn’t bother to filet the skin off. In perch, skin is fine, but skin ruins the flavor of a walleye because it’s much thicker. There are better choices on the island.
