Cocina de Carlos wasn’t bad but considering we’ve tried Mexican food at dozens of places across North America, this meal was by comparison entirely ordinary. We started with the guacamole dip which was tasty but with far too many onions. Next was the enchilada plate (our usual) and the Texas fajitas (steak, chicken and shrimp.The enchiladas weren’t accompanied by rice and beans as we’d usually expect and the fajitas arrived without the customary sizzle and were in fact rather bland.A neighboring table had a child that was literally throwing food, but after they left the staff had the booth cleaned up in Indy 500 pitstop time! Kudos to them for that. Also credit for the fact that while bland, the fajita portions were rather generous.
