My daughter and I lunched there recently. The food was very good…the gyro needed more spice. The Greek Fries were awesome. My only complaint… There was virtually no one else there, and still our food took FOREVER. Seriously.
Walking into the restaurant you notice the laid back environment right away. The workers were eating and casually interacting with one another. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, but it is a clean restaurant. The servers were all extremely friendly and the food came pretty fast. We ordered hummus and pita, which was outstanding. Then had spicy chicken and rice and a spicy gyro. Both exceptional. If I had to go again, I would and I would get the spicy gyro because it is a better value.
UMMM. Best mediterranean food in this region, however there is something wrong with the management/ employees of this place. Multiple times we tried to visit they closed early, by 45 minutes up to 2 hours. One time left on hold for over 15 minutes because the employee forgot about me. So expect horrible service, but great food.
Wonderful Dinner. Our experience at this restaurant was a wonderful one! We decided in a split second while driving past to give it a try and I am glad that we did. On a Friday night, we were able to get a seat right away. This is unheard of at most restaurants, but particularly true in Pickerington on St Rt 256! Our waiter (whom I am naming because he deserves a special shout out for his excellence), Chris Mallory, was fantastic. Attentive without being annoying, knowledgable without being an ass, good sense of humor without intruding too much…he was the perfect server. Ask for him if you go here!! We started with the kibbie appetizer ($8.99/3 pieces). Sooo good! Oh my…the beef filling was soft and warmly spiced, and the crunch of the wheat crust was a perfect companion. I ordered the giant gyro ($10.99)…which was delicious and a total value, as I took home the leftovers and ate them the next day. My companion ordered the spicy chicken on rice ($8.99…I think…I might be off by $1) and was blown away! This place is a (somewhat) hidden gem. Worth the drive from Lancaster…and definitely worth the effort for the in-town foodies who often scoff at food outside 270.
Loved it!. Wonderful food/ service and reasonable prices. Great dining experience and will definitely go back!
Cafe Mediterranea has the best Greek food in Columbus. I love the Tzatziki and Pasticcio.
Yummy. The Greek fries are amazing and the gyros are good. They offer several sizes of gyros, but the larger ones have more meat on the same sized gyro, meaning they aren’t as well balanced as the medium ones. Then again, the meat is Very good.
