I love the atmosphere and the look, but the food never really feels hot. It feels like its been sitting there for a while. Which is the biggest flaw. And the flavor doesn’t seem on point. Some dishes are better than others, but it’s biggest thing is cooking the food to perfection.

Disappointed for the 3rd time. The food here is always consistent and wonderful. But the last 3 times we’ve been here it seems that management has made service a back burner kind of thing. We were sat in a back corner with plenty of tables out in the restaurant free. 3 servers came to us saying they were our server and offered us drinks – great start! They figured out who our server really was and we ordered without a hitch. That came when we got our hot food before our salads. There was suprise that we had ordered salads from 2 different servers. The salads came as we were in the middle of our hot meal, after we asked why we hadn’t received them earlier. Then our server said he was having a hard time keeping up with tables all over the restaurant. We haven’t seen this service in other Cracker Barrel’s. We never even saw anyone resembling a manager to talk to. SERVERS were not at fault here – this appears to be totally management related. We will not be going back after three strikes of the same kind of organization issue.
YUM. Been there so many times. EVERY time horrible service. But I always love the food.
Best meal is breakfast, great pancakes, bacon and hashbrown casarole. Great fireplace to sit near. If you don’t time it right you will have to wait to be seated sometimes 30 min. or more. Nice shop to pass away the time.
