Either you know where Sammy’s is, or you don’t. You can not just chance upon this place since it is an almost hidden place. I wouldn’t call it a hidden gem, though.Like several other places I have been to, this place does everything right but the food.The staff (just 3 of them) are friendly. The little-sandwich-place set-up is very warm and cozy. The crowd they attract comprise typical downtown white collar people. Overall, it feels good there.ButThe food could be better. It’s not like they serve terrible food, but one would expect better quality for the price. The other day I ordered steak and the thing that was served is just a burger patty shaped like a steak. The grilled chicken sandwich seemed nothing better than what one may get at McDonald’s.
