I dropped in for lunch for a to go order, and I found the hostess to be polite and helpful, as she acknowledged me immediately, handed me a menu, and asked if I had questions. I ordered, and my order was ready fairly pretty quickly at the sushi bar by the sushi chef. I ordered an Alaska roll, a Tuna roll, and a mixed green salad with ginger dressing. The fish was very fresh, and the servings of fish were generous. The green salad included cucumbers and tomatoes, and the dressing was wonderful. The cost was what I expected- about $15. I would definitely go there again.

Very Pleasant Surprise. Even though it was recommended, when I first saw this very small place that has the look and feel of a quick place to grab some pizza, I was not hoping for much. I’ve been to some great sushi places in New York and LA and would say that Sapporo’s quality and presentation were very impressive. The menu is pretty basic. However, the mackerel sushi was the best I’ve ever had. It’s a quick walk from pretty much anywhere downtown. Check it out!
This place is great! Not the best atmosphere or service (ala soup nazi) but the food can’t be beat. Also their hours posted must just be approximate, often they open late.
Possibly best sushi in town. I absolutely love this place. their sushi is very very good… I have been eating from here for years and never had a negative experience. I usually call in my order and pick it up carryout, which is so convenient. however, i have dined in as well, and the staff are friendly & delightful, and the food presentation is quite enjoyable. i usually order the maki combo box. if you would like to treat yourself, i recommend any of their Special Rolls. The Crunch Munch (spicy crab, shrimp, tempura, wasabi mayo) is awesome… and if you’re looking for a guilty pleasure The Sunday Morning (salmon, cream cheese, deep fried) is so good you might pass out after one bite.also worth mentioning, their house salad dressing is very unique & tasty. quite enjoyable.
California rolls. I had california roll with cream cheese. It was very good. I was able to take out. Quick service. Excellent.
