  I love this place! I moved from NJ and we have them everywhere so I was excited to indulge. The guy, who I assume was the owner or manager since it was early and he was the only one there, was super super nice to me and the kids I nanny for. He turned on cartoons for them and allowed them to sample whichever ones they wanted, which of course was almost every one. Great experience and the girls loved it so I can come back with them (yes that will be my excuse) all the time!

  The italian ice and custard is great!Unfortunately the manager is always curt and harried, which makes for an unpleasant experience. We have gone for years, but have had enough of his attitude. Stick to going to the other ice cream stores if you want have a pleasant experience.

  Owner doesn’t like coupons. I have been to Rita’s about 100x, spending about $4 for a gelati for each of my family, about $16 per outing for flavored ice. I love the ice, and the employees are always very friendly and willing to offer you samples to test. It has always been a great experience until today, when I walked in with coupons and my kids. I was told that the coupons cannot be used in the same transaction. Well, I got annoyed with this owner, b/c there were 3 of us, and 3 coupons, so why couldn’t he run 3 different transactions, and save me the lecture? The place is always packed, I am always there buying his ice, so why give me a hard time over a couple coupons?? If I ever go back, I will make sure to use a coupon each time, b/c I don’t want to pay this guy’s salary ever again.
