There are lots of bad to average americanized-chinese takeouts in Cincinnati, but the good ones are few and far between. I had been looking for a good one near where I work and I finally found one today here at Mays of ChinaThe menu is far more limited than at a typical americhinese takeout joint around town, but the prices are generally lower that average and the food quality is generally higher than average….the crab rangoon has actual seafood in it, you can taste the pork in the the pork egg roll, and just look at the picture of the fried rice – fresh scallions, onion, bean sprouts, and real honest to goodness chinese roasted pork. Its delicious, and I bet most of you you cant say that about most orders of fried rice you’ve had at such eateries of late.Fair warning – the neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges, and the counter you will order at is surrounded by bulletproof glass – but if you are in the area and looking for some tasty and cheap chinese takeout – this is the place.Update 20160222: had their pepper steak lunch special for 4.99 – best pepper steak I have eaten in over 20 yearsUpdate 20160224: had the roast pork lo mein today. wonderful. not just the legit and flavorful roast pork, but all the fresh veggies, including fresh brocolli and asparagus, wok’ed to just barely crisp.Recommended
