Very Impressed with Richards on Main St.. I am a former Hamiltonian and Richards was and still is one of my favorite places to eat while visiting there. I have to say this past week several of my family along with myself were in Hamilton and we wanted to have a get together with Family there, my Brother called Richards and made arrangements for thirty of us to get together there, first the food was great, second the manager there made our visit the best, she set it up so we could be together, and she did everything possible to make it a very impressionable experience, Loved Richards 50 years ago and still love Richards today. Good Food and great employees.
Better in the Past, Avoid in the Present.. Richard’s is a nice little Hamilton treat, at least it use to be that way. I liked the pizza and the hoagies were very good. I use to eat at the Fairfield and Hamilton locations. I’ve noticed that both places have gone downhill since the late 90’s. Richard’s is not what it use to be. 15, 20 years ago it was a place to go out of your way for, today just skip it. Sorry Richard’s, you had your run and it was a good one. Once all the old timers are gone so will your customer base. It’s a shame because at one time you were the BEST in Hamilton. RIP.

Hometown Pizza. Richard’s prepares freshly-made pizza, complete with their house recipe for dough and pizza sauce. The taste is simple and delicious. I am also a fan of their steak sandwich, which is the best take on a steak hoagie I’ve found in Cincinnati.
Best Ever. I don’t know how anyone could not LOVE Richards Steak Sandwich’s!! They are the best. Whenever family members come in town it is one of the main places they want to go!! There pizza is awesome too!!
Calling it in. I think this is a nostalgia thing for Hamilton folks and that’s the draw. The steak sandwich could be so good, but it’s like they don’t care and slap it together as cheaply as possible. This is a local unique I don’t share with out of town visitors.
Long wait for bleh food. My date’s food was brought out 20 minutes before my hogie. My sandwich was not good in any way. It took 33 minutes to get my hogie. It look like it may have sat under a heat lamp for 20 of those minutes, to the point where all the sauce was absorbed into to bread. I never again make the mistake of eating at this place. It should tell you something when you need to go to the register to get a key to use the restroom.
