OK but not great. Visited from out of town during a stay at Kalahari. Nice looking atmosphere, but some of the patrons close to us were loud and obnoxious, kept bumping into our table. WIne menu is somewhat extensive, but selections for the Cab and Syrah flights were underwhelming. Menu looked very enticing, but between 2 small plates and 2 entrees, only one was truly pleasing. Pierogies…just OK, a little bland. Brussells sprouts, quite good. Smoked salmon pappardelle…very smoky and one-dimensional (no other flavors came through the smoke). Butternut squash ravioli…couldn’t taste squash at all, brown butter was just butter, no depth of flavor. Service was good, and food was OK, but overall not worth the $90+ bill.
Looking for good food near an amusement park? So were we. 6 small plates and 2 entrees, all were terrific.
Awful Experience. My husband and I previously enjoyed Crush. They have a decent wine selection and a small but enjoyable menu. Last night we were seated directly behind a table with the chef and his friends. They were incredibly loud, rude and profane. We would have stayed for dinner, but left early as they were ruining the atmosphere. Other patrons were clearly annoyed, but the chef and staff were oblivious. They didn’t seem to care that they were driving away business. We won’t be back.
Extremely slow service; disinterested staff. We have visited Crush Winebar several times and were disappointed that our service kept getting worse instead of better. Our last visit resulted in a 20 min. wait to have our drink order taken and then another 20 minutes before our wine was served. We expressed our disappointment to management via e-mail and the response was very disappointing, as well. We haven’t been back since!
Love Crush!. I’m actually very surpised to read reviews about slow wait staff… I go here probably once every two weeks ever since they opened and I would have never described the service like that. This is a wine bar with tapas style eats. They have an actual dinner menu but it’s not very extensive. Everything they do is fantastic… thai cucumber salad with mint and cilantro, little bites of delicious pork belly…. something unique daily. Thier wine selection is, of course, extensive. This is a great after-work spot for some quick appetizers and a glass of wine, or a great place to sit and relax for dinner. This is upscale wine-dining and it’s a gem for this area. This town is famous for big chain restaurants with bland food. Crush is a nice alternative for foodies.
Service was slow, 10 minutes to even get water. But food was good. Server also had dirt all on her pants… not such a great impression.
Must have been an off night. Rude or indifferent staff – could care less you were there to spend money and have a good time. A twenty minute wait for a table turn into an hour – they forgot about us. We did not mind as we were having a nice time chatting with our friends at the bar while we waited. The salmon and fettuccine dinners were good, the rib eye steak was full of grizzle. Would never eat there again, but the one draft beer is excellent, might stop in for a drink.
