My sister and I, from MN, were recently in Sandusky to visit family. Her 14 year old son was not with us on this trip, but because stopping at Toft’s for ice cream is his favorite part of a trip to Sandusky, she decided to bring some home to him. We each decided to pick out 6 different favors. The staff were so great! They all pitched in, scooping up our ice cream and labeling them. They were each so pleasant and knowledgeable about all the flavors. They even offered to package it in dry ice for us. The ice cream tastes great, the experience was great and the ice cream made it home safe and sound. My nephew is one happy young man!

Beautifully decorated & very clean, both inside & out! If you are a Chocolate person, like I am, you need to get the Caveman Chocolate! I just wish more grocery stores, businesses knew about them & would carry their products. This was my first time having Toft’s Ice Cream. I live in East / South East Central Ohio (just outside of the 100 mile radius) & had never heard of them before my trip to Marblehead, Ohio, in June. Wish they could deliver farther than 100 mile radius, from the plant. Would love to have them (a full service parlor better yet another Plant) in my area! Thank you for being the oldest Ice Cream Maker in Ohio!
Ice cream dream. Fantastic ice cream. Coconut cream pie and blueberry waffle cone are must try’s. They are exceptionally generous with their scoop size. A real treat when you’re in Sandusky. For out-of-towners like me, they will pack your take home booty in dry ice. Be sure to take a cooler – you’ll want to fill it before you leave. Nice folks behind the counter too!
This place had great ice cream. Great selection of about 25-30 flavors. GET ONLY A SMALL, its the size of large at most places. YOU CAN GET TWO FLAVORS WITH A SMALL( we didn’t find out until it was too late.) It was very busy but fast since they don’t let you sample flavor. Over all great. Good pricing for the size. I will return and recommend you try it.
Love it. We often take visitors to us here after we go to cedar point as they close about an hour after cedar point does, so it’s a nice end to the day. But great ice cream and cheap for what you get. My recommendation is to get a small because you can get two flavors, but if you know what you want (and only want one flavor) a kiddie size is likely plenty of ice cream. A small is $2.95 and has something like 5 or 6 big scoops. A small here is like a medium or a large at most places you go to get ice cream. It’s well worth the drive.
Great place, you get more then your money’s worth when you order up a cone. Of course the ice cream is stellar, in quality and variety!
Best Ice Cream in the world. I have been many places and nothing compares!! Tofts is the best the Mint chocolate chip is simply sinful I would eat a cone a day if I could and not put on fat. Enjoy
