Better than expected. Good food and good service
Did we go to the same restaurant?. Last year our family, all eight, went to this restaurant. We had a great time, the food was excellent, and we plan on going again next week on our annual Cedar Point trip. I just hope it hasn’t changed in a year.
Pay with cash. Service was substandard and when we paid for our meal we received an immediate text from our bank and the totals didn’t match up. When we questioned the host he got almost indignant and kept trying to show us that he had ran the visa for the amount shown on the bill. Only because our daughter ate VERY well did we return for another meal to have the same thing happen again. Come to find out they run the bill for 20% more than the actual meal. NO WAY did the chef and/or the wait staff deserve 20%. Recommendation….pay in cash so you control how much you give…disputing the amount with our visa/bank. Their only saving grace is Location, location, location
Disappointed. This place is located in Hotel Breakers located at Cedar Point. My bf and I decided to come here for dinner after a fun day at the amusement parkThis is just your typical hibachi grill restaurant so there’s really nothing super special about it…. except the hole it made in my wallet.First off, we got the table instead… we’ve already seen the whole cooking presentation before, so nothing new there. Looking at the menu, it made me think twice if this was even worth it as every item is super expensive… Well, I gave them the benefit of the doubt; maybe their food is super good (?), so we both ordered a combination platter. Let’s just say that not only was the food expensive, the order did not come with a salad that typically comes with a hibachi plate order. When we got our plates, the steak was overly done and the chicken was tough. The veggies were already cold too.This was so not worth it. Our bill came to almost $70 when all we ordered 2 combo plate and 1 sushi roll (one of the cheapest they got). Was the whole thing really worth $70??… Ummm, we’ll just go somewhere else and maybe get more food for a lot less..I was just really disappointed.
Now, don’t get me wrong, the food tasted good, not anything great (more than a little on the salty side). However, the service was TERRIBLE. The chef had a huge personality and gave an impressive performance but, honestly, he was acting like a clown and I got a little uncomfortable. Also, there was a significant language barrier. We don’t drink at all, we won’t even eat the food if it has been cooked in alcohol. We asked the chef if the what he was putting in the food was alcoholic and he must’ve not understood because he said it wasn’t and we later learned (through google) that it in fact was alcoholic. So we had to get our meal made again. Overall a sub-par experience.
Was looking for a great meal !. When we got there they were busy so they recommended we take a table instead of waiting for a Hibachi Table with a chef and said food was the same. NO WAY ! Service was terrible, steak was over cooked, veggies were cold and when I sent steak back to get the med rare I ordered now veggies and rice were ice cold ! Our waitress was terrible not once did she check on drinks or the steak when it came back! I have never in my life sent food back but the filet was so bad I had to and the one that came out the second time wasn’t much better. Sorry Tomo but we won’t be back !
