Very good northern Indian. For the neighborhoods surrounding upper Eastside the clear winner (Shaan in Hyde Park still holds my heart). Good quality, naan is excellent, and they deliver!
This eatery started out as a really inexpensive place to get a pretty good Northern Indian Meal, but has declined a bit in quality and prices have gone up steeplyI had my favorite – chicken tikka masala and a garlic naan – and both were solidly good, but not as good as their competitors, and the price is now the same or higher than their competitors, which isn’t a good formula for success. The main dish was still good, but the rice while plentiful did not have the aromatic spices that I have come to expect from the best places in town, and the garlic naan, while it had excellent texture, was at 3.49 50 cents to a dollar more more expensive tan some of their competitors and for the extra expense there was very little garlic or ghee to be found on it. Better and less expensive northern Indian cuisine can be had all over Cincinnati
