    Don’t go if you’re in a hurry, and also know that your reservations don’t matter at all! You’ll get seated when they feel like seating you. Besides that, the food was good and our chef was entertaining. We’ll be back, as long as we’re not in any kind of hurry.

    Freezing cold inside!!!. We had to wear our coats to eat. I should have brought my gloves. Very disappointed. I don’t know what the heck was going on, but it was not right to treat customers like that. Will not return.

    Seating for 9?. We had 9 people at our table today. It was miserable, we had no room at all. The chef at next table hit me when he came in with his cart. Then my leg was against the cart the whole time he was cooking. This was the first time I have ever had a bad experience at benihana! I’ve been coming here since the place opened. Very disappointed this time!

    Our first visit in 2009 was very enjoyable, so after receiving a birthday certificate we thought we’d make the 90 minute drive and have a fantastic dinner out. We arrived at 5:30 on a Tuesday, and was told the wait was an hour. Seriously? With a 2 & 4 y/o, who love Japanese hibachi, a long wait. We did receive a small bowl of chicken fried rice for each, which they devoured while we were waiting. Almost exactly an hour passed while we catalogued the exposed ceiling wiring, dirty woodwork, etc. we were told by the helpful officer (yes, Police!) stationed near the door that they were remodeling. Once seated, we waited over half an hour before soup arrived, ten minutes later the chef began. We were instantly turned off by the chefs use of the same spatula in the rice and the raw chicken, which he cooked together instead of the typical preparation order of veggies, rice, meats. He was friendly and entertaining, but it made us uneasy about the food. Two tables adjacent to us were covered with both new supplies for the remodel as well as take out boxes and beverage pitchers. We ate, didnt really enjoy it, and thanks to some very squirrely math paid more than we typically do, even with a $30 certificate!!Our last trip.

    BAD service. I go here occasionally to get half off sushi at the bar. The sushi is good and inexpensive but the service is just terrible. I’ve had to wait over an hour for two rolls. If you go by yourself it’ll be fine, but going with a group is a bad idea because they will bring your rolls out one by one, about 15 minutes apart each.

    Started off the evening by telling me they were closed upon my arrival at 8:00pm. After being seated and meeting fellow diners, asked to move to another table of mostly children. Just began looking over the menu when asked if it anyone present was cellebrating a birthday. It just so happened that I was and said so. Asked if I had any coupons, ehich I did and presented. Was asked to leave and to return another day because my coupon was only good for Monday-Thursday. Wasn’t even given the opportunity to dine without the coupon. After driving 60 miles from my home to Benihana and receiving this less than welcoming response on my birthday, I will not be returning. My restroom visit prior to my departure on my 60 mile return trip home found the lights in the restroom burned out/ non-functional! Never got to try the food or becerages!
