Good value for the meal. My wife and I rarely travel this far out of our suburb of Cinci. to eat, but we were in the neighborhood. Good brown sauce with rice with the cashew chicken and double helpings for each of us.The Tai noodle dish had a new and subtle flavor that took a bit of acclimating to, but it was also good, very tender chicken pieces abundantly integrated into the noodles and veggies. We carried half of each of our meals home with us. We would return if in the area .
Beef Pho. Do yourself a favor and try it!
A favorite. Tom Yum Mee with chicken, add mushroom and extra cilantro. I always want to try something else, but can’t help myself. Great Asian food and an excellent value. Usually very fast service. Just respect them and don’t show up too close to closing time.
New Favorite. I work nearby in Glendale and Lu Lu’s Noodles is now one of my favorite places to go. I think the food tastes great and they give generous portions for the price. There’s just no possible way that I can finish the chicken pad thai in one sitting. It makes for great leftovers though. I didn’t notice any smell like some of the previous reviewers mentioned, maybe they had recently cleaned or something. From what I’ve seen the staff does come off a bit ‘prickly’ but if you give them a chance they’re actually really nice. I’m definitely becoming a regular.
Too Expensive, Not Clean Enough. I agree with a prior review about the off-putting smell inside the restaurant. Also, the servers being ‘off’ as well. The primary order taker at the window wanted me to give her my order IMMEDIATELY, without a chance to figure it out. The food was nothing special, and the prices were too high for that kind of fare.
LuLus is great and had been forever!
Dishes that you can’t get easily get anywhere else. I’ve dined here several times and it’s been a hit and miss. I really enjoyed their curry flavored singapore noodles and Lard na is my favorite dish there. I also enjoy their wonton noodle soup which I believe Lulu’s is the only place that has it. I also enjoyed their cantonese noodle. I did not like their pad thai- has no flavor what so ever and their sweet thai noodles – I don’t even know how to describe the taste but it was awful. I usually just stick with singapore noodles or Lard na. Make sure to try the Singapore noodles with some Sriracha sauce. One thing that prevents me from going here more often is that they charge a fee for you to use your credit/debit card. I don’t usually carry a lot of cash and it doesn’t make sense to me that I have to pay a fee to eat there if I don’t have cash. Other than that I enjoy Lulu’s overall.
