Dined here for the first time in a couple of years. My wife and I had great meals, good service, and an overall great experience. I called for a reservation about 30 minutes before arriving on a Friday night. I ordered the sea scallops & risotto and my wife had the tilapia with risotto. Everything was delicious and nicely seasoned. Worth the money, for sure. Nice to know that Springfield can still produce a good meal from a locally owned restaurant. I’m a fan and will recommend to my friends.

Keep your Special stocked. We went there on a whim…had never been, but had talked about it for weeks. Stopped by and the sign said Hickory Smoked Brisket as the special. It had been the special for a few weeks. I knew exactly what I wanted when we walked in the door. Got there at 7:00 on a Thursday and were practically treated like a second class citizen for not having reservations. It took several minutes, 7 to be exact, before anyone even brought us a glass of water. I know 7 minutes isn’t a long time, but typically every other restaurant has this out to you in 90 seconds or so. Then when they finally came to take our order the Brisket was sold out….If it is on special, why wouldn’t you make enough of it to last for the night and the demand you have. The food was decent, not the best and definitely not worth the price. It is a nice one time experience but we would not recommend going here.

Who knew there was a restaurant like this in Springfield? An unassuming neighborhood cafe on the outside, an upscale restaurant featuring a jazz piano bar on the inside. Went early on a Saturday. It was not busy when we got there but was starting to fill up by the time we left. Dress is casual but not jeans and T-shirt casual. Service was very good. Food was good to very good; the beef carpaccio appetizer was excellent. Prices slightly higher than chains like Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden. Drink prices were reasonable. Overall a great restaurant and probably the best in Springfield.

Best Restaurant in Springfield?. Might be my favorite restaurant in town. Fantastic steak. Good service. Limited hours so make sure you call ahead. Not too pricey if you compare it to high-end steakhouses. Nice alternative to the chains (Texas Roadhouse, Applebee’s, etc.).
