Stale cake again.. I bought a cake last Fri. White with white icing. It was made day 3 and this was day 5. The cake was stale and the price had gone up. I drive from Dayton, with several cake shops here. No more This cake was bad. I got donuts too. They were bad also.The quality has gone way down.The girls are no help. My father was a German baker. I know quality . I will not be back. This is usual for Schuler’s. I have called about the stale cakes and the lady was unkind. Not worth driving so far for this poor quality.
Way to sweet. Even since moving to the area many people have talked about this bakery. After finally trying it I found that for what you are getting it is way to pricey. The doughnuts were so sweet it burned my mouth and they all kind taste the same. Any glaze they have it pretty hard and doesn’t add much flavor since the glaze is also super sweets. They do however have very good cookies. Just dont get anything with icing on it.

Not w. After hearing about this place for a long time, I’ve given it a couple tries. It is not impressive. The overpriced donuts are inedibly sweet, the glaze hard and thick, and you can taste the oil. I love dinner rolls and tried a bag the handful of times I went (I don’t like to judge a place on one visit). Every time, they were dense and doughy and yesterday, they were raw (and I mean shiny dough raw in the center). We’ve tried the cookies and cupcakes and they are both crumbly and tasteless. Even if the product was amazing, I don’t know if they’d be worth dealing with the impatient and unfriendly waitstaff; they treated regulars favorably but I asked a question about an ambiguous flavor and couldn’t even bothered to get an answer… The bottled water was cold, so there was a bright spot!
The. Best.. Honestly, there is not a bad thing I can say about Schuler’s. I crave their strawberry cupcakes and blueberry donuts daily. Definitely a highlight of Springfield!
The best. If you hate this place then you hate little children and the USA. I’m joking…sort of. This is the best place for donuts. Their donuts crush all other places and the whole wheat donut is delightful. VIVA LA SCHULER’S!
Sad. Ok I will always love schulers, great place and fills that craving you are looking for but they no longer make creme puffs! I am not sure what to do!!!!! say it aint so!
