Very Upset. I have always loved Carrabba’s. The food has been good. DO NOT, DO NOT plan a large party gathering at this location. I called a month and a half before our celebration and requested a specific back room. We had a large group of out of town relatives and it was a special surprise anniversary party. I was assured that we could have that area,and not the other area that was narrow and cramped. Four days before the date I called the restaurant, checked on my reservation and was told again that all was well with the reservation and area requested. On the day of the celebration we arrived to find the whole area filled with customers and nothing was set up. The manager on duty said that we would have to be in the cramped space as the person who took our original reservation no longer worked with the company. We sat in the cramped section unable to converse or move around and were not even able to surprise the guests since nothing was set up for a half and hour later. All of the members sitting against the wall could not even get out to go to the restroom. I was embarrassed and the whole gathering was ruined.I spoke to the head manager who said that the person who took the reservation no longer worked for them and that they never take a reservation for that large of a group ever. I then asked him why the gentleman that spoke to me 4 days before did not know that fact either. Train your employees!A special occasion was ruined due to an ill advised staff and also a rude waitress who acted as if she was doing us all a favor. Never go there for a large party celebration.
