AWESOME MEXICAN RESTAURANT. We first starting going to this restaurant when it was in Canal Fulton, and just loved the food, the friendly service, cleanliness, and the awsome Margaritas. What a letdown when they moved to Jackson, but we made the trip there anyway but not quite as often. We moved recently-guess where-Jackson! We are now 7 min. away and enjoying this place as much as ever. We joke that when Chips and Salsa moved away, we had to sell our house and follow them! The chips are warm, the salsa is the best, Margaritas still to die for. Everything we’ve tried is wonderful, and so reasonably priced. My favorite is Enchaladas Rojas. The food arrives faster than McDonalds, and made to perfection. The atmosphere is excellent, the place is clean, the waiters friendly as ever, and you never have to wait in line to get in because there is plenty of room.
No, No. No.. This place was just awful… I knew it as soon as the chips & salsa came out. Pass on this place.
So-so Mexican. The food may be so-so Mexican, but the atmosphere is good, clean, and the servers friendly. And, while not quite chunky enough, the salsa is good.
Average at Best. I am a very big enthusiast of Authentic Mexican food and I can say that this is not it. Now don’t get me wrong the restaurant is very clean and the service is very good, but the food is the average that you can come to expect at an American run Mexican restaurant. From all of the good food reviews it is apparent that most people don’t know the difference between real Mexican food and American-Mexican food, or they just don’t care. In a local restaurant market filled with Mariachis and El Campesinos this restaurant is not going to be able to compete.
Not so good. We went there on Sunday when they first opened. We got our salsa and chips, it wasnt the tomato type salsa I like, but tried it and it had a lot of cilantro in it and I didnt like it. The chips had a terrible after taste, we couldnt pin it down at first till we had the second basket of chips, think it was the oil they are fried in. We ordered and I couldnt tell the chicken and steak apart and my girlfriends meal came out the total opposite way she ordered it. The sour cream was watery. We wont be back. El Camps all the way!!!
Terrible Experience. I placed a lunch order today at Chips and Salsa with my work peeps, and this will definitely be the last time. I ordered an extra order of chips and salsa, which they forgot. I asked for double beans instead of rice with one order…fail. I added guac to mine and paid $1.50 for a tablespoon of it that was sloppily thrown in a container with lettuce and SC. And it is ice cold. The frustrating part is the guy on the phone was very thorough, repeating my order exactly as i placed it. This place is awful!
AWSOME!. These guys used to be casa perez in canal fulton and when I found out they moved out to beldon village I was sooo excited. This is the ONLY mexican resautant that I will ever eat at. Great environment, great staff, and great prices!!!
