The best Mediterranean food I have ever had!!!! SUPER FRESH!!!!! Very reasonably priced! Nice sized portions! Friendly staff! A good sized American menu (good quality as well) so you can bring along someone even if Mediterranean isn’t their thing! Can’t say enough good things! Definitely stop in!!!!
Just go!!. I don’t have the word skills, vocabulary or food knowledge to do this little treasure justice . . . so ignore my efforts here and just go! Ignore the location in a seen-better-days strip mall (as we did), spend a leisurely dinner on a cold evening with a newspaper and a chat & enjoy the food.We eat out a lot, and tend toward the coney island/diner establishments as our mainstays for the variety and value. Alexandria had been strongly recommended and we finally found the opportunity to visit. The cold night suggested a start with soup, even before considering a meal choice. The chicken tortilla offered isn’t a favorite, but it was INCREDIBLE. Seasoned perfectly, just a touch of heat. Both of us loved it. Wished I’d have ordered a bowl instead of a cup.I’m NOT a Mediterranean fan (used to go the original Gi-Gi’s on Monroe and order pizza, for example) but the soup experience encouraged adventure. A chicken Shish Tawook plate was ordered and again, the chicken was seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly, tender and tasty. The accompanying rice (I don’t like rice, either) was heavenly. The lamb/beef gyro (comes with a generous, fresh greek salad) was just amazing & served as a wrap, really a nice presentation that a pita/pocket, IMO. And not to overstate the case, as I generally don’t eat gyros either . . . yet this was breathtakingly good. As was the baklava.Service friendly, fantastic food, excellent value. One of our best experiences in a LONG time. We have our next visit already on the calendar, and I know what I’m going to try next!
