Fantastic Service and GREAT PIZZA!. I LOVE THIS PLACE! My family and I enjoy going to Charlie’s, and the staff is awesome! They even took the time to get rid of a lady who was acting like a four year old ( yelling at her mom, boyfriend, whoever wouldn’t agree with her), so my kids (who act more respectful) and I could enjoy our time and dinner there. I recommend Charlie’s to anyone who wants great food, FANTASTIC service, and owners and staff who care about you.

A super neighborhood gem. Ever since Charlie sold off the restuarant (remember there are two Charlies now, next door to one another…the Ice Cream and fast food one, then the Pizza restuarant), the new owners have taken the ball and ran with it! Refreshed menu, newer food items, but the same old great pizza, and now even better service! The pizza is outstanding, and award winning! The secret though, is their entrees, in parrticular try the rose chianti sauce with their pasta, just wonderful. The family style greek salad is a great value if two or more are wanting salad. And their thin crust is amazing (they also offer glutten free which I hear form a friend is perfect). Nice place, friendly owners, super service and a good value…what’s not to like.
Great Italian Food for a Great Price!. I was recently at Charlie’s Homemade Pizza for dinner a few weeks ago, and I must say it was the best Italian food I have had in ages. I ordered the pizza for dinner and it was the best pizza not just in Sylvania, but in the whole state of Ohio. And believe me when I say that Charlie’s does not skimp on the toppings plus all the toppings tasted fresh and not prepackaged like some chain pizza places. My wife ordered the jerk chicken alfredo and I am not exagerrating when I say that it was the best dish I have had hands down in a long time.And as far as the service goes, it is top notch all the way. The servers are knowledgable and very friendly. Even the kitchen staff is very friendly and top notch as well. Hats off to the manger behind the scenes ( I believe his name is Dave). He is very nice and from what I have seen just walking by the kitchen, he keeps the kitchen running smoothly, and dishes out delicious and eye-appetizing food. The owners should count their lucky stars to have a worker like that. So if you are in the Saxon Square area, I highly recommend in stop in and give Charlie’s Homemade Pizza try. Trust me your taste buds will thank you.
What’s NOT to like about their pizza!. Talk about pizza and Charlie’s comes up everytime. We had their house special pizza last Friday for the first time, and we will be back for more! The new owners have bumped-up the sauce with a fantastic taste, and the toppings are the most plentiful of any local pizza we have been to! You have a choice of a thin or traditional crust that is made fresh and hand tossed. Not one of those pre-make cardboard crusts that most all other pizza places offer. It will be Charlie’s for us from now on!
