Thai Food Critics, Not Impressed. We read great reviews about this place but were highly disappointed. My husband and I have a hobby of eating at Thai restaurants at every town we visit, and rating them. This is one of our least favorites. First, we waited a while for our server to take our order. Next we waited even longer to get our appetizer, which had a fly swimming in a pool of juice at the bottom of our Papaya Salad. Then our Pinapple Fried Rice tasted like greasy fried rice you order at a Chinese take-out joint. And lastly, our server didn’t come check on us after she brought our food. Overall, we give this place 2.5 out of 5 stars. On a positive note, their Thai Iced Tea and Red Curry was good.

Very good service, food came out fast and temp hot, waitress was very helpful and engaging. Quality and quantity left something to be desired though. Since I’d never been here before, I ordered what I consider to be the essential thai standard: pad thai. Spice level and flavor was fair but unremarkable, lunch portion size was unsatisfying. Small, very little chicken, and no veggies. All in all, far from the best thai I’ve had. If you’re ever in Detroit, check out Bangkok cafe in ferndale on 9 mile to see how thai should be done!I will probably come back here and try again, but if I am underwhelmed again, I wouldn’t. Unfortunate because it’s a nice place.

Very Nice in Toledo, Ohio. Judging from the carry out orders, Rose Thai is a very popular place. We were cordially greeted, seated and given lots of time to study the lunch menu. The waitress cautioned me that what I ordered is very spicy hot. It was and I enjoyed every bite. Three of us had a wonderful lunch at a reasonable price. The restaurant is near Hobby Lobby.
