This place was awesome. My husband and I stopped by on a road trip to Michigan. We were both starving and are big eaters, so we decided to try the Feast for 2. Now, when most things say they’re for 2, we finish them off. We’re big eaters. But holy moly, this thing was huge. We barely finished half of it before having to throw in the towel. And everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The pork and brisket were tender, the chicken was absolutely fantastic (and we’re not normally huge chicken fans)– moist and juicy and flavorful. The ribs were my least favorite but they were still very, very good. The Mac & Cheese was good but not as amazing as I’d heard people saying– it felt like it was velveeta texture and that’s fine while it’s piping hot and gooey, but it starts to get a little rubbery as it cools off. The beans were also really tasty. Corn muffins were very sweet, I could’ve eaten a dozen of them, they were so delicious. We did order the bread pudding because I LOVE me some bread pudding. It was very good, a massive, dense portion served with ice cream on the side. Our server was very helpful and friendly, too!I also enjoyed the music they were playing. Lots of indie-alternative based stuff.We will definitely stop by if we’re in Toledo again!
Great!. Sat at the bar for happy hour=great prices on apps and cocktails. Burgers are good and the truffle fries are amazing. Great atmosphere, yes a little load but did not bother me too much. Service was outstanding. Will go back next time I am in town.
The food at Shortys is good, but the service I received was even better. Our waitress, Geena, was phenomenal. Geena was busy, but remained sweet, attentive, and available. Geena made sure our drinks were full, and we had everything we needed. I would come back to Shortys and recommend it to a friend soley based on the amazing service we received from Geena.
Great sides and amazing meat! I did take out, so the hostess was great But, I can’t really comment on the service. Hope to make it back for the full experience soon!
What we ordered:Mac & Cheese – Very creamy. I ate it like crazy when I was pregnant!Pulled Pork Platter – The pork was delicious and it had nice big chunks. It was piled high too.Cornbread/ Butter – This is a Shorty combo. One without the other just isnt the same. I could eat it all day.I give it a A- because they are one of the many places that do not offer a Military Discount
The food here is SO GOOD. The portions are always great, but the food is always so good that you wish you had more of everything. Whenever we go, we always make sure to get the pulled pork nachos, which are amazing. I don’t even like nachos normally, but I would eat a whole plate of these on my own if no one made me share. The service is always great as well. Any time we’ve been there, everyone has been super friendly and given great service, always making sure the table has what it needs. I’ve never had any complaints about a visit here, and I hope to get soon.
Insane portions!. First time dining here and our server, Ashley, was AMAZING. Friendly and attentive, she definitely made our experience awesome.As for the food I had the bbq ribs. Their half rack was almost as big as full racks I’ve had at other restaurants. I can see why they offer 1/3 rack option.The store itself was very clean and well kept.The food was wonderful, the service was wonderful, excellent place to eat.
