I do not know authentic Chinese food, but I do know good food and this is some of the best Chinese food outside of San Francisco or Vancouver.
Crispy Beef. The Golden Koi is the new name for the China Express that used to be in the Food Town on Secor Rd and then moved across the street when the Food Town closed. The food quality and quantity has increased with the name change. This is also tied to the increase in Chinese students at UT that are frequent and many at this location only about a mile from the campus.Most is common Amerinese food but they have some excellent uncommon dishes. The crispy beef is excellent as well as the steamed dumplings. If you want to try something new like pigs feet or other ethnic dishes, see what the students are eating and order that. The staff is super friendly and really enjoy serving you.
