Lunch today. We had the worst steak braso we have ever had at J Alexander’s today. It was tough and chewy. Not good at all. We complained to the sever but nothing happened. Very disappointed.
Steak Maui*. Absolutely fantastic
Unimpressed. For years I heard friends and family rave about J Alexander’s, but the two times I’ve eaten there I was far from impressed. It isn’t bad, it’s just very average. I do recommend their carrot cake though. It is also pretty average, but an average carrot cake is still worth it!
Just perfect!. My fianc and I wanted a great dinner, and had heard great things about this location, so went here to try something new. I could not have been happier! The food was delicious. I had the prime rib and I’ve yet to find one better. My lady had the filet kabobs for something different and was smiling the entire meal. The service was fantastic. From the moment we walked in the door we felt like it was home. Our server walked us through the menu and pointed out her favorites and suggested a wine that I’ve seen cost double at other restaurants. I will be back. In fact, this may be our new Saturday spot.
Knit-pickin’. Best Steak I’ve had in years!!! …and still think the layout of the place is one of the best in toledo. The female server uniforms though need to be re-evaluated a bit. they are kinda boring, unisex, and unflattering (same outfits as the dude waiters). On the other hand, the hostesses were very elegant (thats right- i said elegant! ha) with simple black dresses and long white pearl necklaces. Very nice- but we need consistancy people! Even my wife thought so- 🙂 so there lol
Hands down the best customer service in Toledo and surrounding areas. The only restaurant I know that refills drinks almost every 15 mins (without asking). The Asian salad is out of the world and their crab cakes are super delicious!
