This is the second time we’ve visited Koreana. The first time we had Bimibap and were less than impressed, but to be fair since we had never had Bimibap before we didn’t want to review it and say that it wasn’t great since we didn’t know what to expect in the first place. After visiting the second time, and not having Bimibap again, we still can’t really comment on it…but as a whole, we just didn’t really care for Koreana. We don’t mind paying a lot for a good meal but it’s just not that great of an experience to feel good about dropping $150.This time there were four of us. We had a bacon Kimbap roll, the black bean noodles, seafood udon soup, a summer roll (sushi), a salmon lover’s roll, a sashimi dinner, seaweed salad, and an appetizer that included rice dumplings (I’m sorry, I’m unsure of what the official names of some of these things were called). We all really enjoyed the appetizer and the seaweed salad was very good. The udon soup was good (not as good as others I’ve had) and the black bean noodles and Kimbap were decent as well. All that being said, if you know good sushi, don’t order sushi here. The rice in the rolls is not the same soft tender tasty rice that you’ll get at Kyota Ka and the rolls don’t have the same delicate touch as they have either. They are heavy on the rice, light on substance and lacking in flavor. The sashimi is ok, but not really worth the price. So, in my opinion, the taste of the food was all over the place, from a very good appetizer to really disappointing sushi rolls. Just really not worth the money.

Best Korean you will find in the Toledo area. I’ve had way better in San Diego and Baltimore. But this place impressed me for the area. Definitely helps me get my fix of Korean food since I moved to this area

Love the food here! I’ve been here a handful of times to eat in, and have gotten to go orders more times than that. The portions of food are always more than generous, and totally delicious. If you order kitchen entrees to go, they will even include a box full of the little banchan side dishes for you to enjoy with your meal. My only complaint has been that the service can occasionally be a little spotty. Nothing awful, but any time I have been there, it hasn’t been busy at all, and I was still left waiting for service. But everyone is always friendly, and the restaurant is beautiful inside too.
