Somewhat disapointed by will try again. Positives:Location – have windows that open (ah, fresh air), have speedy valet for $ 5.00- perfect, acknowledge quickly by hostess and server, like what they did with the interior (industrial, but not too much). Some people actually dressed very nice for a evening out! Lots of Vegan options. Menu changes…Yeah! Mancy boys…take note! Love the Day Boat scallops, 7oz filet, asparagus, broccoli, bernaise, spinach salad, etc…but it’s been time to change/update the Ideal and Bluewater menus. (Pretzel crusted, maple/bourbon salmon etc.)Negatives: Dress of customers. I understand that probably for this establishment to make it, the owners must allow for casual dressing and I’m all for casual, but when the people come in in jeans and t-shirts, baggy cargo shorts and t-shirts it takes away from what could be a great atmosphere. Why Toledoan’s can’t put on dress slacks or dark jeans and a decent shirt or top for a couple hours is beyond me. We were told they get a lot of people before and after the Mudhens games. (Like that’s a positive) I can assure you, I would never eat there on a game day/night. (Don’t mind me, I’ll just stash my ball cap and mitt under the table while I eat.) I know adding linen tablecloths would add costs to the customer, but if only used on nights of no b-ball or hockey games, it would help with overall aesthetics of the room. Although, we were acknowledged quickly, drink service was slow returning to us. (And we ordered a bottle of wine) The menu does tell you that not all items in an order are listed or descriptions. This would be very helpful if they would just put this on the menu. You must be very careful if you do not read the print at the bottom of the menu and have food allergies or dislike something. As a result, I felt I had too many questions for the server. I could have place an order faster had that information been listed. For example, we had the English pea hummus. It was ok. It needed something and it wasn’t the pistachio’s that weren’t mentioned on the description. All it did was add the same green color as the smashed peas. Basil was in it, but you could not taste it.. Consistency was that of guacamole. Had the Pastrami Filet. Where’s the horseradish that the menu described? The sauce that was made w/sherry was the prominent flavor. Ordered it medium, was medium rare at best. Sent it back. Partner had fish – can’t remember name, but it was like an Arctic Char. Although, my partner didn’t want to send his fish back to be finished in the middle (it was not even cooked!) I brought it to the servers attention…so she could visually see it and let the chef know they were not cooking beef or fish properly! Dessert: had a sampling of all all. Not sure they have a pastry chef, but the need help in this area. The panna cotta was the best of all. Others were just meh.Regardless just to be fair, we will try it again. Hopefully the next time while eating, we can tell the other that it’s no good ( a signal of – it’s too good and don’t want to share) and friends how CRAZY good the atmosphere, service and FOOD was!!

Disappointing. Registry Bistro LOOKED very promising, judging by their menu and the photos on their web site. And their appetizers and soups were great! Plus their drinks – well, they were awesome! But the main dishes were just fine, nothing better than Chili’s or Applebee’s. And the service was worse than lacking: after we were served our entrees, we didn’t see our waitress until we had finished eating. Overall, extremely disappointing.

Nice meal. My dinner at Registry was nicely done. The service and the pacing of the food service were just right. The mixed green salad with popped rice and plums had a tasty dressing which was applied with a sense of restraint. The lemon chicken with rattatouie was a satisfying dish. And I was just plain pleased to have had a meal there.

Ah-mazing!. When I read about Registry Bistro in The Blade I was so excited to try it! I was not disappointed. This is the best food, hands down, in Toledo. My boyfriend and I had a salmon appetizer, which was buttery and perfect, we couldn’t get enough of it. For dinner he had more salmon, since he was so impressed the first time, and I have a steak. The steak was so tender I cut it with a butter knife and had the perfect amount of seasoning as to no compete with the natural flavor of the beef. The salmon was flaky and delicious, or so I heard, I didn’t get a chance to try a bite. The service was also very good. I am new to wines and asked our waiter his suggestions and based on what I told him, he found me my new favorite type of white wine, a Riesling. We never felt rushed, even though we were there later in the evening. The atmosphere was comfortable and chic, totally unlike anything in Toledo. Overall it was awesome!!

Worth it!. I, too, was a fan of Divas and also when Chef Rapp was at the museum. I’ve been a few times to Registry Bistro and have encouraged others to go as well. Service is professional and considerate. I had a dinner business mtg there recently and not once did we feel rushed. Every course perfectly timed, kudos to our server Haley. Food was excellent and they have a great cocktail list. I had 4 courses and didn’t regret a bite. Incredible value for the superior level of cuisine prepared and presented.
