Toledo’s best. I’ve been patronizing Sam and Charlie’s my entire life. I enjoy sharing a certain rapport with the waitresses and getting my food quickly. What they lack in interior and exterior appearance is easily counteracted by their food, friendliness and prices. No one comes close to their quality of standard breakfast offerings. The House Special is my favorite. My daughters love every flavored or fruit topped waffle available. The pecan caramel waffle topped with ice cream is unbeatable. Highly recommended for quality, creativeness and price. They are definitely worth trying!

Stay Away. This place is bad, the cleanliness is very poor (dirty, sticky, dusty), went there once and will not be back. The food is so-so, but honestly, you’re better off going to Monroe Street Diner, or City Diner which are nearby and good breakfast places. The service was slow when we went there, but the servers are okay, I really think it was the kitchen that was slow.
Old decor, very outdated. But the waffles were great and the breakfast was fine and the prices can’t be beat!
The building and the interior may look outdated but the food is excellent and inexpensive.
I was skeptical at first based on appearance,but the food was inexpensive and tasted great. Try the flavored waffles, they’re really good.
