Excellent. Authentic .
More than disappointed. Very disappointed the young girl at the counter made several mistakes that made a carryout order take 50 minutes. I asked to speak with the manager and he told the waiter to take care of the problem in spanish. I walked back into the kitchen and asked to speak to him in english. He then began to talk about me in Spanish not knowing I could understand him . He then lied about knowing english and would only speak in spanish. When he knew I understood what he was saying things changed. I was offered my money back, free food, drinks. Why would you eat at a establishment that is so shady. One would ask what they do to the food. I threw mine in the garbage and cut my losses.
Doesn’t like it. We were long time patrons of San Marcos. It used to be wonderful when it was just a small counter and we’d have to get our own drinks from the coolers. Now that they have expanded, the food is hit or miss. We no longer eat at San Marcos, only grocery shop. We now frequent La Cachanilla across the street or La Michoacana on Emerald for fresh authentic mexican food.
The Best … Everything.. I don’t trust anyone who says they do not like San Marcos. This place has the absolute best tacos I’ve ate in the area. Blows away El Camino. Great baristas who know how to make a strong drink. This place has a margarita that would drop a small child in their tracks. This place is a must.
San Marco is cheerful, friendly, clean and delicious. We stopped at the market for chilis and had to try the restaurant as well. We had tacos, tamales, enchiladas and chips and perfect salsa. I had a frozen margarita which was very tart from lime juice rather than the usual flavored corn syrup, but delicious in it’s own way. I am only sorry it’s taken me so long to find it.

I have went to many Mexican restaurants and was not impressed by them. This place is just a nice place to get great Mexican food. The food was fresh and tasty, the waiter was fast and friendly. Just a real good place to get real authentic Mexican food. I will be going back now more often. Just super…
