The only thing special about this place is the Ethiopian menu (otherwise it’s the millionth Indian restaurant in town). Unfortunately, the cooks are all Indian and are not very good at making Ethiopian food. On top of that they mixed up our order, and the spice levels, on our most recent visit.

Injera v. Naan? Too close to call. Went last night and got the one of the lamb dishes (lamb tips in a mild sauce, perhaps?) with a side of collared greens. Served with that distinct injera, it was delicious. I took half home with me (good-sized portion!) and had the leftovers with an egg and my husband’s leftover naan for breakfast. Best of both worlds! This is a great little restaurant with an original idea (who else serves Indian and Ethiopian side by side? in the Midwest?) and a spacious, well-kept interior.

Did not taste like authentic Ethiopian food. I wish there was another option besides ‘I like it’ and ‘I don’t like it’ along the lines of ‘it’s not bad but not what I expected’. We are BIG fans of an Ethiopian restaurant near where we used to live in NJ. The food was spectacular, all simmered with the meats being butter tender and flavorful without being spicy (unless you ordered it that way). We always went there for major celebrations and brought our less adventurous friends and family to expand their culinary horizons.Imagine our surprise and delight to find an Ethiopian restaurant in Cincinnati! Unfortunately GPS sent us through the ghetto to get there, but luckily the restaurant itself is in a very nice area. We ordered an injera platter to share and were very disappointed. The meat was tough and over salted. This rating is for the Ethiopian food only, as they also serve Indian cuisine. Based on the fact that all the servers were Indian, I would bet the Indian food would be more authentic.

We tried this place for a Sunday lunch. The inside seemed clean and dust free, unlike some Indian places I’ve been to.. Give it a few more years and it will be like the other ones. For being a year old, i can tell its going that path. Light bulbs burned out and not replaced, paint damage to the walls etc.Ok anyway about the food. We were scared to try something new and go for the ethopian menu. So we stuck with what we knew. The chicken saag, and tikka masala. The portions were a bit smaller than other places I’ve visited. But in the end it was perfect as I always get over stuffed at Indian places. The food was very good, and had exceeded my expectations.I will go back and give the ethopian menu a try…

Oh yeah. Very clean. Food was a 10! 1/2 price bottle of wine at 5:30 on Friday night. We got the house salad to share. The dressing was light and delicious. A few too many red onions for us but the tomatoes and zucchini was fresh and yummy. For our main dish we got the meat biryani fried rice which was amazing and the chicken tikka masala. Great. We will be back to try more

Injera bayeantu. The restaurant setup was great, nice and clean. The injera sampler plate that we ordered was HORRENDOUS. It was cold, the entire food looked microwaved, the samosas were not home made, even though they said it was, coz I’ve bought the same from an Indian store. The Ethiopian food did not taste authentic at all.
