So good. First I had ordered the fried cheese ravioli, which I had never had them fried before. They were very delicious. The marinara sauce for them was excellent and sort of an indication that the pizza to come was going to be great. For the main course, I ordered the pepperoni pizza. This pizza would instantly become a top 5 pie for me. I have had some of the best from NYC and New Haven, CT and this was right up there with them. The pepperoni had a slight char on them and was thick. Just the way I prefer them. Great crust and sauce to finish it off and a must try pizza place was born.
I should start this review by saying that my husband and I had gone to Geraci’s several years ago and received very poor service. We hadn’t been back there since then, but last night we were both in the mood for pizza and decided to give them another try. This time the experience was much different. Our server was excellent. She always made sure we had everything we needed. In addition to the pizza, which was yummy, I also had a small salad. I got the homemade Italian dressing, which was very good. The only small complaint I have is that the menu items seemed a little overpriced to us. But other than that, everything was great. We are glad we gave Geraci’s another chance.
I have been to here many times and really love the food. the last time I went with my family 40 mins until they closed. they sat us, took our orders and we waited maybe 10 minutes to tell us that the chef left and we couldn’t order food. Very bad service.
This is my favorite pizza shop in Cleveland. I always order a mushroom (fresh) and pepperoni pizza. The pizza sauce is exceptional, slightly chunky – crushed tomato sauce. If you are nearby & in the mood for pizza, you must stop in. Don’t get angry if it ruins any other pizza for you from then on.
Service. I grew up in Cleveland and one of the things I look forward to when coming home is eating at the local restaurants I grew up enjoying! I was excited to eat at Geraci’s since it had been quite a while. The food was good, but the service was horrible. My party of five went in around 12:45 on a Saturday. There were about four other tables seated at the same time. It took forever to get water and wine, forever to order and forever to get our food. Two of us ordered pasta (one dish was angel hair with butter) which came out a good 10 minutes after the pizza the other three had ordered. We never received refills on water or were asked if we needed anything else. We had to seek out our server to get our check. This kind of services doesn’t fly with me since I work in the service industry. Step up the service and you’ll get even more patrons and better tips for your employees!
I’ve been going to Geraci’s since the 1970’s I love their pizzas and pasta. Nothing much has changed over the years since except maybe my belt size….
I have come here for 40 years. Loved the pizza. Something has gone wrong, while the place looks the same the food is pretty terrible. The pizza crust is doughy, tough and flavorless.
