My family and I (group of 6) ate here for dinner last night and we loved it. The hostess was friendly as we waited for our entire party to arrive. She asked us if we wanted to be seated at our table already or if we wanted to wait. Later on, we were seated and were greeted by another friendly male server. We ordered a bottle of white wine and our own meals. My sister-in-law is vegan but there weren’t vegetarian/vegan options on the main menu. However, our server knew the menu very well and made great recommendations. He even got a separate vegetarian menu for my sister. I got the Flat Iron Steak. After waiting not too long (15 mins), our food arrived. Everything was delicious!! Mine was perfectly cooked (medium). The place is great overall. Obviously a little pricey, but the quality is amazing. Our server was very good. Wish I got his name but all I remember is that he mentioned his girlfriend is vegan. The place is very nice too.
It’s rare that I give out a 5 rating, yet Blue Point deserves it. We brought in a large group and they were spot on! Contant service, helping with the menu and wine selection. Remembering our drinks without asking and keeping our water glasses full – after dinner! The atomosphere was great – we were actually able to hear one another speaking without losing our voices. Their Ceasar was one of the best, blue point oysters were perfectly slimy, the fish was not fishy tasting and we finished the night with a S’more dessert that melted in our mouths. cinfullysimple.com
Wonderful Seafood. Blue Pointe Grill is a wonderful seafood restaurant in downtown Cleveland. There seafood is fresh and always interestingly prepared. We had a group of six of us dining before theater at Playhouse Square so we had an early reservation and the staff took wonderful care of us and got us out in perfect timing to easily make the 7:30 PM curtain. Appetizers we had ranged from Caesar and mixed green salads to crab cakes, scallops, and calamari. Our main courses were the almond crusted Lake Erie Walleye, the seared rare Asian ahi tuna, the grouper, and the pan seared halibut special. All were excellent. We also shared a bottle of Trimbach Alsatian Riesling with the first course and two bottles of Patricia Green Reserve Old Vines Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Both were excellent choices for the food. For dessert, there was a flourless chocolate cake and creme brulee along with some LBV Port and some coffee. A wonderful meal and it was not rushed.
Best Seafood around. I had the Nag’s Head Grouper served with lobster mashed potatoes and braised spinach. It was so good I was still thinking about it the next day. My husband had the halibut special and also enjoyed it very much. We will definitely be back.
Great meal!. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Cleveland. Our meal at Blue Point Grille was excellent. The service was also excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Cleveland.
In a class all by itself!. Atmosphere is spectacular, service is superior, and the food is amazing….. What more could you ask for… Perhaps a great wine list? Don’t worry, they’ve got that covered!
