Holy hell was this place fantastic! My partner and I had two entree bowls and they were both amazing! The staff was want and friendly and the food tasted homemade! It’s a good thing I don’t live in Cleveland or I’d be eaten by here once a week!
This was a rating dilemma! How would you rate a place that has great ambiance, nice decor, is in a good location, but still manages to leave you unsatisfied by the food they serve?I am sure I would rate them a lot higher had the food been a little better, at least once.For a downtown fast food place, the decor is above average. They draw a vibrant crowd, more during the concerts at House of Blues. But the crowd has always been noticeably less than at their neighbors’ (Chipotle, Noodle Cat etc). There must be a reason for that. Why would someone pay more, for half the food? Moreover, the quality and taste of food here have always been disappointing.I may still have to give it a shot a few times. The good side of being bad is that, this is often the only place where one can get ‘fast’ food fast during the lunch hour.

Awesome. Another great J Gumbos locations. There are several in the Columbus area. So glad they have arrived in Cleveland!
Ummm ummm ummm. I’ve been walking past here for weeks and decided to head in for lunch today. So glad I did! The Voodoo Chicken was amazing!!! Friendly staff, clean facility. Can’t wait to go back.
Update – been there several more times and have yet to find a dish I don’t like. Dishes are full of flavor.27 Jan, 2013First visit was awesome! Very reasonably priced. Had the vodoo chicken, actually had some kick to it. So use to restaurants advertising their bland food as spicy. Can’t wait to try some of the other menu items.
