Insult to Spanish Cuisine. After living in Spain and travelling all around the country for several years, I can definitively say this is not only the worst Spanish food I’ve ever eaten, but also one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Their paella had a half inch of water in the bottom of it creating a soggy, mushy rice complete with what seemed to be thawed out, flavorless seafood. The description also said that it was cooked with chicken and sausage of which I got two pieces of chicken and no sausage. I asked for rabbit instead of chicken (I don’t know who puts chicken in a paella), but I received a stern no. My brother’s salmon was dry and overcooked and his girlfriend’s meal just wasn’t even Spanish. I feel insulted for the rest of Cleveland that the chef thinks we’re stupid enough to eat this. Try serving this to real Spaniards and you’d be outta business.
I was disappointed that I had to pay $10 for parking, but that seemed like a deal several hours later when we finally received our meal and eventually the $80 check.
Disgusting!!! Place was filthy, every single plate and fork was dirty. Food was mediocre, service ok.
Yuk. This place sucked. Don’t go out of your way. It was a holiday so maybe they were just having a bad night.
Wish I had this place back home!. This place came highly recommended by various people who call Cleveland home. My co-worker and I were visiting on business and were delighted by the food and service found at Mallorca. A tad on a pricey side, but large portions and tasty food indeed. Taking a break from hotel catering can be priceless to some. 🙂
Not quite what we were expecting….. My wife and I visited Mallorca for the first time the Saturday after Valentine’s Day. I must say that our experience fell far below our expectations. We had a friend visit a few weeks prior, and were told that though the food was good, they probably would not return due to the poor service. My wife and I both completely agree. The initial confusion started when we were seated. We were confused as to whom was waiting on us because there were six different people that came to our table. Everytime we wanted to order something, we were told that our waiter was someone different. The waiter that we did have was very rude and short with us as if he had better things to do. He didn’t look at us when he spoke to us, and failed to bother offering us the specials of the day. He was not very inviting at all. The other issue, which was by far the most egregious, was that it seemed like everytime we put our silverware down, we had someone come to the table and ask if we were finished. It was EXTREMELY annoying. We even had one lady remove our food before we were finished! We did not feel wanted there from the start and we felt rushed out until we left. We even had to ask to be offered coffee and the dessert tray. We’ve had pleasant dining experiences in the past at a few of Mallorca’s sister restaurants. This consequently had us with high expectations for Mallorca’s. For the amount we spent on our bill, we felt as though the customer service we were given was subpar and that we would have been much better off taking our business elsewhere.
