Enjoyed the buffet with a group. We went with a large group on a Sunday evening and all had the buffet. Besides the plated salad and basic potato sides, there were 5 main courses on the buffet: a roast beef carving station, baked cod, rubbed chicken (breasts/thighs/legs), penne pasta and pork. Also included was a desert table. Overall the food was very good, and the service was decent. Each individual item may not have been the best you have ever had, but overall, every single item (I tried them all) was at least very good…and you could have as much as you wanted. Lets face it, this is not the best restaurant on 4th street, but most people come with the intent of going to the comedy show later. If you are going to a comedy show, you really should give this place a try anyway (at least the buffet).
Nervous server and strange sauce on the halibut. Great atmosphere with the al fresco dining, but the server was very nervous acting and every time we ordered a beer, they were out of it. Also, he was very cranky so I asked if he was having a bad day to make him aware. The scallops were great but there was a strange sauce on the halibut – sounded good lemon artichoke but had a very off flavor. The place across the way looked better, but I don’t recall the name
Great food and a show. We were here 2 years ago for our anniversary weekend. Had dinner and saw a show. Wife had fork tender double bone in pork chop which just melts in your mouth. I had a very good meatloaf dinner. It was a little cramped, but the food made up for us being forced to become aquainted with our neighboors. Best venue for a comedy show in 150 mile radius.
Awesome Comedy, Food and Service. Best comedy in town…Great food…Great service!I always have the BEST time whenever we head down to Pickwick and Frolic….The staff makes you feel like a VIP!
Great comedy / terrible restaurant. They bring in top notch comedians… just don’t expect to get a drink quickly – and oops! they add gratuity and don’t even tell you so most people tend to leave even more for the terrible service.oh – and DO NOT eat at the restaurant. don’t say you haven’t been warned.
Service was POOR. food was OK. I would check out one of the other 10 restaurants in walking distance before coming here.
First and best on fourth. When out of friends visit Cleveland – this is a great place to take them to show off downtown – good food, fun martini bar downstairs- and can even catch a show – or eat there before heading over to HOB or Bang & Clatter – all good.
