Omg this place is so dirty, it looks the same as it did 20 years ago. It’s dilapidated, and scummy. We will not be back and from the looks of the kitchen do not eat here!!02 Jun, 2013Shooter’s used to be the place, however it’s very dated from the 80’s/90’s. Once the East bank is open this place will likely close unless they step up their game and clean this place up!!! Remodel Shooters!
One of the best locations in Cleveland , some of the worst food in Cleveland. the only thing keeping this place open has to be the 20 something weekend dance followers and over priced beer.
I only go for Carlos. Carlos Jones & The Plus Band perform here quite often and since I really adore this band, I go. However, I don’t think I can take it anymore! This is supposed to be a great place. It is on the water with a great view. The ambiance should be wonderful but it is not! It is impossible for a non-smoker to enjoy. I have been around cigarette smokers and tolerated it as long as they kept a distance, but the smoke was so heavy, I had issues breathing the next day. I could not concentrate on the wonderful music because I felt like my lungs were locking up! They allow smoking to go on anywhere. Every direction I turned, there was a rude smoker, puffing and blowing. The cigarette smokers prevent anyone else from enjoying the docking area because they stand there fogging up the air. I did not dig the crowd either because it was a bunch of idiotic and arrogant people who were drunk and dancing wild with no respect to anyone else as if they had something to prove. Not sure why it attracted this type of crowd because that is not what reggae music is about- getting drunk and pushing people? All I’m saying is, there should be a designated place for smoking, not the whole place! Oh yes, and one of the employees was walking around smoking as he changed the trash. What the ha@#? Not cool.
Don’t waste your time or money!. What a joke of a place. Went on a Saturday night and sat at the outside bar. The staff were more concerned about looking good and chatting with each other and did not give a crap about their customers. What a sad staff…never saw so many employees turn their back on so many customers. Hopefully this place will be replaced soon by a place that cares more about their customers experience instead of the quality of their latest tattoo. Really is a cheesy place with even cheesier staff…real cheesy staff! If it was not for their location nobody would go here. Pathetic!
AVOID SHOOTERS AT ALL COSTS!!. Worst experience ever! The food was awful…the service not much better and when we left to go into the parking lot (that we PAID to park in) our car had been keyed. There is a security camera about 10 feet from our spot and the management did absolutely NOTHING to try to help us. I grew up going to the flats and having a blast…now it has the feel of a very bad neighborhood. Will definitely go down once the rebuild is done but will avoid Shooters at all costs. BAD FOOD…WORSE MANAGEMENT!
Worst service I have ever had, went with 8 other friends for a Sunday brunch, the food took over an hour and a half, when it came out it was wrong and cold, the manager was rude, an the managed to still stick us with the large drink tab, which was rather large due to sitting and waiting so long on our food. Shooters isn’t what it once was. Never suggesting them again.
Better Than It Has To Be. One of the most peculiar things about Cleveland is that for a city with so much waterfront between Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River, there are less than a handful of restaurants on the shoreline or river’s edge. To be sure, the view from Shooters on the west bank of the Flats is hardly inspiring, overlooking, as it does, some sort of crushed limestone facility, but at least you can see water and feel the cool breeze as you sit on the comfortable, boat friendly deck. And given the fact that it is one of the only waterfront operations in town, the food is not bad at all. Though potentially written off as pub grub, this venue provides options to span every palate and price range. The salads all come in full or half-portions with the half being enough for most appetites. One salad featuring goat cheese, dried cranberries, and candied walnuts was fresh, satisfying, and light enough for a warm summer day. The veggie burger was a real surprise. The exterior was crispy, the inside moist, and the flavors of corn and black beans were accentuated by a nicely spiced chili flavor. The accompanying guacamole was a pleasant touch and could smooth out the spice of the burger for those who desire less of a kick. A champagne martini was strong and delicious, quite refreshing when sipped at water’s edge while the nearby drawbridge raised for boats and lowered for passing trains. Service was attentive and friendly, and a fine time was had by all.
