If you do not work in the 55 Public Sq building, it will be a nice little adventure for you locating this restaurant. Even though it does have an entrance from a side street, a lot of people enter through the main building entrance. Then, turn right, go through the black doors, get confused, come back and scratch your head, go through the doors again, come back again, ask at the building reception, ………… oh, ok, that was the secret tunnel head that takes you to the place (after several turns)! Now, is it Japanese cuisine that they serve there? Well, would you stop by if it were Chinese? Probably not. There are so many Chinese places around. Hence, it says ‘Japanese’. So, don’t expect anything but the usual core Chinese take-out menu. It’s fairly comfortable in there. A lot of sitting is available. They even have some cafe-type little couches. To ‘compensate’ for the Let-me-look-the-other-side view, they have added a TV in a corner. Overall, it feels like a cafe but smells like Chinese food.To add to that cafe-like feeling, they even have hot/cold green tea for free. The food ………… is just plain vanilla Chinese take-out food. Nothing special. I’d probably give 2/5 for just the food. The price is one sweet spot. It is cheaper than usual Chinese take-outs and much cheaper than most others in downtown.
