I’ve had the Szechuan beef which was really good and I’ve tried a lobster dish that was mediocre. But the prices were good and the service was good.
Great food, great value. Whether eating in its spotless modern dining room or ordering takeout, Chan’s Asian Wok serves only fresh healthy Chinese cuisine, and does it at bargain prices. Service is fast and friendly. Chan’s is arguably the best Asian restaurant in the area, regardless of price.
I’ve gotten take out and its been great each time. One of these days, I’ll have to dine in.
3/10. Despite the hype and accolades, I have yet to have a good experience with this place. Granted, I’ve always gotten take-out, but somehow I doubt the food is much better fresh. The employees are friendly and the food comes out quick, but it’s just never quite right. Either the breading is soggy, or the sauce tastes off, or there are too many hard things in my meat. Like the last time I went, there was a thin, sharp bone in my chicken (which is supposed to be boneless). I realize it’s most likely a mistake, but who knows what damage that could’ve caused had I swallowed it. Not to mention the other inedible gristle bits and slimy exterior. The rice tasted like plastic and the sauce was barely detectable. On a good note, the hot and sour soup was tasty.I have yet to really find an outstanding Chinese or Japanese restaurant in the Mason/West Chester area. They range from terrible to mediocre, and this place is in the middle of that.
Consistently good. Chan’s Asian Diner is one of my favorite Chinese reastaurants. Food is good (except for the egg foo yung), service is attentive, the atmosphere is very nice and clean, and the prices are very good. Don’t confuse Chan’s Asian Diner with Johnny Chan’s which is nearby on Fields-Ertel. Avoid Johnny Chan’s.
