Thumbs Down. Seems another owner/manager has taken over the Viva Tequila again. Not such a good restaurant any more. Our take out meals always have something missing. The portions are now smaller. And when your dinner comes only with beans, don’t try to ask for half rice and half beans. This is not allowed….. Even though a side order of rice or beans has the same price. And the Margaritas are sweet and green, but no taste of any tequila.
Exceptional!!!! Great Mexican food! Favorite restaurant. I’ve been going here for a few years now and it is by far and away my favorite restaurant! The food is exceptional. The San Pedro is my favorite but I have never had anything that was less that great. All of their chicken meals are wonderful as are the burritos, tacos and fajitas. I love their cheese dip; one the best I have had. Great food! I can’t say enough about it! Large, clean dinning room. Nice outdoor patio. The owner is a great guy and the staff is very friendly. A great place to eat, highly, highly recommended.
Screaming babies and little kids running around the bar during dinner. Nothing was done………ruined our Saturday night dinner with friends. The restaurant was half empty and they sat a family of six right next to us in the bar with a tiny baby screaming and crying. We asked them why they would do that and got blank stares and there’s nothing they can do. Not going back.
Excellent! We lived in Arizona before moving to Ohio and I can honestly say that this place reminds me of home. Muy delicioso!
Went with my parents, they got drunk on Cadillac gold margaritas, frozen. HUGE portions at reasonable prices. Dining room was full but management wouldn’t open the back dining room.
The garlic shrimp and rice was very good. So was the tilapia.
Flavorful and authentic. I’m Hispanic, grew up in southern California, and my family took annual trips to Mexico. That being said, Viva Tequila has the best tasting tacos I’ve had in the Cincinnati area. Their carnitas tacos are delicious and everything is very affordable. For those that are wondering, this restaurant is linked with Taqueria Mercado, a very highly rated Mexican restaurant in Fairfield. Don’t expect high frills at either place…just good food and an authentic atmosphere. I love eating here and hearing all of the Spanish spoken by the staff as well as the customers!
