The food was fantastic. The flavors were unique and combined in an unexpected but delicious way. The coffee service is a must. They roast the beans in front of you and it has a dark and complex flavor. A fun experience.
So delicious!. My sister introduced me and the rest of my family to Habesha tonight and we loved it. They clearly put a lot of effort into what they do. The food was excellent and the employees are very sweet. I will definitely be returning.
AMAZING & FRIENDLY! I drove 1 1/2 hrs to get to this place, and it was totally worth it. I’ve Ethio food many many places and this is one of the best. I wasn’t going to make it on time before the restaurant closed, so I order to go (I know, not the same experience) and they kept the restaurant open a few extra minutes after closing so I could pick up my order. This was the first time I have eaten Ethio food out of a to-go box (lol) and it was absolutely delish!!! They didn’t miss a beat and it was succulent and spicy! I had Beef tibs & red lentils, and I will definitely be back for more. Thank You Habesha for making my night and providing such an awesome dinner!!!! Love you guys!
Fantastic Food!. I went for the first time tonight, and I was blown away! It’s been years since I’ve had authentic Ethiopian cuisine, and they didn’t disappoint. While the restaurant atmosphere wasn’t too fancy, the food more than made up for it. My friends and I got three dishes served together on the bread tray and there wasn’t one bad thing. The right amount of spice and very flavorful. And with three of us eating, our bill was $16 per person.I will definitely be going again!
Love this place!. I’ve been to Habesha twice now –and my friend has been 4 times. We love it! The food is completely authentic and delicious, and the owner, Mr. Kassa and his wife (Betty) are so nice. They’re happy to recommend dishes and can make them to any spice level you want –even if no heat at all is your preference. Last time we were there, after we’d received our orders, he went back to the kitchen and prepared a sample of a dish that isn’t on the menu for us to try. (A savory, yellow curry beef dish –not spicy hot, but so delicious.) He said we can ask for it any time. If you don’t know what to order, I highly recommend just asking them what *they* recommend. I don’t mind driving over to the west side for great food –and great people. Glad for the west side to have something this special!!
My Favorite Restaurant. I crave Habesha unceasingly! My spouse and I live in Dayton, but we travel to Cincy at least once a week or every other week for this treat. We also get several portions of the vegetarian meal to go every time so we can eat on it for days after! The cabbage and potato dish is my favorite, but I also love to combine the spicy wat with the cold and creamy cheese in one bite. And the people that work there are so kind and willing to talk about any of the food or even the history of Ethiopia!
Great family owned resturant with delicious organic food.
