Don’t waste your time. Surly service when we arrived 45 minutes til close & the sushi from mejers is better. the tartare was slimy & fishy & the rolls were all rice with a touch of protein. overall a total waste of money & time.
This is a very pleasant restaurant that always has people in some seats. Very nice service. They have really great lunch deals and accommodate take out orders. It is very legitimate as a Japanese restaurant in all it’s trimmings, from alcohol offered, dishware, decore, and even playing baseball over the bar. Only thing missing is a sushi bar in which you can see sushi assembled and interact with the chefs. But they do well with the space they have. The food is delicious, and I don’t think I’ll be able to stomach sushi around town that’s any less than Sapporo’s quality!
EXCELLENT!. Just had a fabulous dinner at Sapporo! My husband had the Rock-n-Roll, Gyoza, & the Rainbow Roll and I had the large sashimi sampler with a fresh salad! The service was very warm and friendly and the food is probably the best, freshest sushi I have had in a very long time! This little place is a gem!
Yum! The owner went next door to UPS to fax my office a menu (so nice of him!) so my office could order lunch carryout. Everyone’s food was very yummy, fresh great tasting ingredients, plenty of Ginger and soy sauce on the side. Very great for the price. Definately going back SOON!
Excellent quality and very reasonable prices. I don’t think it’s the best in Columbus but it’s in the top 10% in my book.
Good Staff, Bad Fish. If I believe the co-owner that the maguro was delivered fresh that day, then the person who accepted the delivery didn’t inspect the fish. It had turned. Good Sashimi tuna should have no odor, no residual ‘fishy’ flavor it should be clean and meaty and deeply pink. This wasn’t. It looked good, taste, not so much.Salad with miso sesame dressing delicious, spicy miso soup, very nice. Tekkadon, looked great, couldn’t take more than a bite due to the bad tuna.Staff replaced it with Yakiniku which was very good. Of course it was cooked beef.Mango ice cream fantastic, aburra age was fresh and tasty. The bonito shavings were a nice addition to the rich umami broth.Overall I don’t think I’ll be back, there are better places to eat sashimi.
Best sushi in town!
