I had a Thai place in Cincinnati that I loved, and I was afraid to try anything in Columbus because I didn’t think I’d find anything that compared. My husband found Thai Grille and it is amazing! I get tofu cashew nut, very spicy. My husband gets the same, except with chicken. He can usually finish his plate, but it’s enough for me to have two meals. Happy it’s only half an hour away. I’d go a couple times a week if it were closer. Wonderful atmosphere, great staff. The owner presented us with a banana dessert when we told him it was our anniversary.
Good food, slow kitchen and priced a little high for the portion size. I enjoy this restaurant during non peak hours. It is small and the kitchen is very slow, so go there when you are not strapped for time. The quality of the food is very good. The portions are small for the price. I have never left hungry, but I have always left thinking the price was high for the quantity of food – even the rice portions are small. Everything I have ordered has been delicious. There is little meat in the meat dishes, but the vegetables are cooked to perfection. The prices are not so crazy that it deters me from going back, but it’s something I think about every time I visit. I appreciate that they source their food locally.
One of my Favs!. I live in Westerville and this is one of my favorite places. The reviewers who said they went away hungry must be too used to eating giant over-sized portions. An appetizer leads up to the meal…a small taste. If you want a big basket of fried wings before a full meal, go to a commercial restaurant. You won’t get frozen crap at Thai Grille. Everything is made fresh to order, healthy, and with loads of flavor and vegetables, unlike a typical Chinese restaurant where everything is in a goopy pre-made sauce and cooked in giant portions. How do you think your food is ready in 10 minutes? They didn’t cook it to order. My favorite dish is the Pad Kee Mao and I often end up taking half of it home for later. I have tried one or two other things, but I always go back to this as it is my favorite. I have also had the Summer Roll Appetizer which is simply healthy on a plate; raw fresh greens and veggies rolled into thin rice paper and served with a very tasty dipping sauce. I have also had the Chive pancake, chicken satay, and curry puff, all equally tasty. If you haven’t tried this place and you want a healthy meal that you will feel good about, please do!
Disappointed. Had my first taste of Thai food last night and was not impressed. The portions were small and left me wanting more. It lacked sauce and meat was dry. Plus the prices were a bit steep for what we got. Could have gone to a higher end restaurant for the amount we ended up with. The experience was nice, but not happy.
Yum. The massaman curry was excellent, full of fresh vegetables and a rich coconut flavor.
Overpriced bite size serving. Our family frequented local restaurants to support the community, so we decided to give this resto a shot. looking at the menu, the prices are steeper than the other Chinese, Japanese or Thai restos we’ve been but we went ahead and ordered our favorites like eggrolls, padthai and curry but to our surprise when our order came out it’s all small portions. Just the eggroll itself looks like it was split in thirds from a regular size eggroll from any Chinese resto we’ve been with plus their pricing are exorbitant , that tiny bite size eggroll they have for 5 bucks, compared to other restos I will get 3 big ones for 3 or 4 bucks and more delicious and filling. Although the staff are very friendly and the curry is good. Overall, we walked out from that place still hungry after spending $40. We felt like we’ve been robbed. Vowed never to come back until they fix their portions and pricing.
