The Reuben sandwiches are to die for! I found it a bit pricy for the quality but thoroughly enjoyed the juke-box diner feel that the restaurant has. The service is also quite quick and the servers are very polite and helpful.
Menu prices need updated! Wife & I went for dinner last night, and the prices charged were as much as $2.00 higher, than published. Her french fries were over cooked, and soggy, I ordered a side salad with my meal, and it came out same time the entree did. I would think it should have been earlier. We’ve been there several times before, and food was generally good, but this time was a real surprise for us. I doubt if we’ll be back, anytime soon.
The Mrs. and I decided to try this place as a spur of the moment dinner. We ordered the bacon and cheddar fries appetizer platter, and both of us got uptown burgers and their Mac and Cheese. The service was solid, they were moderately busy for dinner and we never felt ignored and our cups never went empty.We loved the fries, the bacon on the fries were chopped strips and portions were very hearty. The burgers were cooked to the desired temperatures and were great on the texas toast. But the mac and cheese was a complete surprise. The mac and cheese was homestyle with ample cheese melted into it. Again with great portions.So all in all we got the platter of cheddar bacon fries (enough to feed 4, we could only eat half) 2 loaded half lb cheeseburgers, hearty portions of mac and cheese and 2 cokes for $33 after tax (before tip).We already are planning on bringing friends and family to this place.
